Key Lime Dessert Lover
In 2006, the Key Lime Pie was voted in over sweet potato, pecan, and strawberry as Florida's state pie, after proponents pointed out that Key Lime was the only pie in the running unique to Florida alone. Creation of the pie in the late 1800's is generally attributed to a Key West millionaire's cook, known as Aunt Sally. Since then, natives and tourists alike have enjoyed the smooth, sweet-tart blend of key lime juice and sweetened condensed milk. Dreaming of a vacation to Florida's Keys? Travel there year round through the cool, crisp flavors this basket of gourmet goodies brings!
